Updated Hotel Reservation Information (updated 11/09/07)

The online hotel reservation site has been shut down and deadline for discounted rooms has passed.  However there are a number of hotels, in a wide range of price ranges, near  the convention center where you can make hotel reservations.  Either call the hotels directly or use your preferred booking method (e.g., hotels.com, Travelocity.com, etc.) Below is a partial list of hotels:

Online Registration Now Closed ......

On-site Registration: After November 12, 2007 you must register on-site. The registration desk will be open on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 6:00 pm at the Salt Palace Convention Center . You will be able to pick up your badge and APS Bulletin if you have pre-registered, or register on-site if you have not previously registered.

Sharing a Room

If you are interested in sharing a hotel room at the DFD meeting with another participant, contact the conference coordinators,

"Meetings and More," at mtgs911@aol.com.

"Meetings and More" will reply with a list of other persons seeking to share a room. When contacting "Meetings and More" please note your gender (male/female), smoking
preference (nonsmoking/smoking), and email address. The only information that will be shared with other persons requesting to share a room is your name, gender, smoking preference, and email address. This information will only be shared with persons currently seeking to share a room. Note that it is your responsibility to contact other persons on the list and arrange for sharing a room. "Meetings and More" will only provide a list of persons seeking to share a room and will not provide any roommate matching service or hotel reservation service. Reservations and charges for the room are the sole responsibility of the persons sharing the room.

The conference Hotel is the Downtown Marriot, with additional rooms being held at the Radisson and Plaza Inn. All hotels are directly across the street or adjacent to the Salt Palace Convention Center, where the technical program will be held:

Transportation and Directions

The Salt Palace Convention Center is 7.8 miles from Salt Lake International Airport . The convention center and hotels are easily arrived at by shuttle, taxi, or personal car.

Driving Instructions:

On exiting airport, merge onto I-80 E.

On approaching downtown Salt Lake , exit on the 600 S. Exit

Go east 4 stop lights to West Temple

Turn left on West Temple

Marriot Hotel is 75 S. West Temple

Continue one block to Plaza on Corner of West Temple and S. Temple

The Radisson is one block west of Plaza Inn on S. Temple
